Twilight Cookies

Hi....my name is Elizabeth....

and I love the Twilight Books.

So I thought I'd make a few Twilight Cookies!

I know....they're not exactly classic literature.

But I'm a sucker for a 'good girl saves edgy bad boy with great hair' love story.

For three and a half books, and four movies,

we waited with baited breath for the moment Bella became a vampire.

...And right at the last moment of movie number 4....

...there they were.

Bella's bright red vampire eyes.

And then the movie was over!

ACK!

Just like that!

So not fair.

But now the Breaking Dawn Part 2 is here!!!

Just a few more days.....

We get to see Renesmee!

Not quite sure how I'll feel about Jacob and this whole imprinting deal.

I'm hoping he'll just seem like the world's best nanny.

Mostly, I'm looking forward to Bella not being a clumsy mess.

She'll finally get to stand up for herself.

Finally.

I won't be there at midnight, or the first weekend...

but as soon as those kids are in school monday morning....

I'm there!

(popcorn is a perfectly respectable breakfast, right?)

See you at the movies!

  2. Wow these look great! I also cannot wait for the film, when I first read the books I read all four in a week and then started back at the beginning again, and I am slightly ashamed to say, again until I had read all four books three times in a month! Still I am hooked and cannot wait for the last film! Your cookies look amazing! Especially Bella's eyes - you are seriously talented! I love it!

  3. These cookies are beautiful.....but sadly.....I've never seen any of these movies! I think I'm too old, and vampire movies scare the bejesus out of me! I think I've read too many Stephen King books.....and now can't watch anything scary!

    But the cookies are awesome!

    1. Regan, you can't be older than I am, I'm not telling but I have 3 grandchildren. I too was put off vampires by Stephen King until a friend and her daughter took me to see Twilight. WELLL..... 4 years later and I am still hooked. Read the books and watch the movies, eat popcorn and cookies. you won't regret it. :)

    1. Thanks Ashli! They are painted onto Wilton's sugar paper (you can find it in the decorating aisle) using americolor gels and paintbrushes. After it dried, I cut it out and placed it onto wet flood icing. I think it would work even better if I used corn syrup and applied it to the icing after it dried....but I was seriously impatient! ;).

Check out Arty McGoo's website for more fabulously painted cookies! She's crazy talented!
