Halloween Sprinkles

You know when you walk into a store....and they have decorated for the next holiday
waaaaaaay too early...?

And then you think to yourself  "Who in the world are they doing this for?  No one in their right mind is buying Halloween stuff in July?!"  (...or Christmas in August...)

....ahem....that would be me.
This is my public apology to the world of retail shoppers.

Believe me, outwardly, I'm complaining with the rest of you!
But secretly....when no one's looking....I LOVE IT!

I can get lost in the sea of sparkly new merchandise.
Luckily, I'm a much better browser than a buyer.   Most things stay on the shelf until they are appropriately sale-priced.

Except for....sprinkles.
I have more holiday themed baking sprinkles than I know what to do with.
As cute as they are, they rarely make it onto cookies.

So when I saw this set of Halloween sprinkles I was THRILLED!  Because, I already knew they would be perfect for cookies!  (and this certainly justifies all my previous purchases that are on the shelf, right!?)

Here they are!  A little creepy in the coffins.....
The first container has black and white skulls, the middle is black sanding sugar,
and the third....

little candy spiders!!!!
(Wilton 3 pack)

Poor little things are homeless!

That's better!

I couldn't decide if I liked the green or black better.
So now they're roommates.

"Bye little guys!  Enjoy your new homes!"

Thanks for stopping by,

Lizy B

p.s.  Spiderweb cookies are now available at The Flower Girl in Dana Point!!

  1. Oh my goodness! These are gorgeous. I love the green spiders. I would definitely have to pick up these sprinkles, too, if I saw them in the store. I have more sprinkles than I will ever be able to use. I saw some bloody bone sprinkles in World Market but didn't buy them. I'm already regretting it. Love your cookies!
