Graduation Cookies!

I've noticed a bit of a change in graduation cookies lately.
I used to make a lot of caps and diplomas.

Recently though, its been a lot of school logos.

Kind of a 'where I've been' to 'where I'm going' theme.

This lovely lady was going from a local private school...

To Princeton!

She even has a scholarship...

...playing volleyball!

Congratulations on your fabulous achievement!!

Your family is so very proud!!!

Bridal Shower Monogram Cookies!

A few weeks ago my husband and I went to our cousin's fabulous wedding.

A few weeks before that....

I made cookies for her bridal shower!

(with special thanks to Arty McGoo for her lavender flower tutorial!)

Sweet and simple for our beautiful Kristina!

(love that lady!)

There she is with all her bridesmaids!

We don't mess around when it comes to bridal showers.

There were close to 80 ladies there that day.

That's 80 cookie favors, each with two sprigs of lavender.

Each sprig had an average of 30 little buds on it...

Wanna do the math?

That would be 4,800 little lavender buds....give or take.

Oh my.

No wonder my hand was tired!

Congratulations Kristina and Owen!!!

Simply Sweet Mother's Day Cookies!

I've found a quiet little corner of the house to show you a little Mother's Day Treat.

(okay, so maybe the quiet is due to the earplugs...contractors are LOUD)

Happy Mother's Day everyone!!!

Our sad soggy little laundry room floor has turned into ripped up
wood, carpet, tile, baseboards and three giant trash bags full of wallpaper.

Ick.

But, we're in the home stretch
and we'll be back to normal in a couple of weeks.

(I really hope I didn't just jinx us)

I made a few batches of Mother's Day cookies in the lull
before the demo started up again and these were my favorites.

They're inspired by my Faith, Hope and Joy cookies from last year.

Super simple to make.

Just a basic white cookie with an black outline and 'Mother' piped in the middle.

They would be really sweet signed by a munchkin with an edible marker instead.

Aaaaaawwwwww.

A few ribbon roses on the side with leaves.

Sweet Sugarbelle and Ali Bee's Bakeshop both have great tutorials for ribbon roses.

(I've learned sooooo much from those ladies!)

Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

I'll be here at home....

....with the contractors....

...and the growing pile of debris in my driveway...

...and the eight foot tower of sofas.

(oh my)

Baptism Cookies for a Sweet Little Boy!

Congratulations Augustino Mancici!!!!

This Little Man was baptized last May.

These rosary cookies are my very favorite to make for any religious occasion

The design is by Sweet Pudgy Panda and she has graciously given me permission to recreate them.

(Thank You!!!)

You can see more of her lovely creations on FLICKR,

or you can follow her on FACEBOOK

I always love a monogram.

Have to have a few crosses, of course.

Congratulations to his parents as well,

and to his Godparents, Tracie and Marcus.

Faith, Hope and Joy Cookies!

There are so many different reasons to give a friend cookies.

.....all the holidays

But sometimes, there isn't an occasion.

Sometimes....we just want to spread a little happiness around.

Come to think of it,

That really is the best reason of all.

My First Wedding!

I completed my first wedding order over the weekend!!!

My girlfriend Lisa (My Flower Girl) did the flowers for this wedding and the couple ordered matching monogramed cookies for their favors!

I made 'Mrs' and 'Mr' cookies as a surprise for the bride and groom.

I was nervous about getting the perfect 'deep coral' color.
I think it actually matched pretty well!

Here is some of Lisa's beautiful floral work!

Not sure who did the cake....
But Lisa made the table so pretty!
(amazing view!)

Thanks Lisa!  Can't wait to work together again!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

In honor of the upcoming holiday, I've decided to put up my feet and spend the evening thumbing through the huge stack of magazines I've neglected since starting this blog.

Meanwhile....please enjoy these pictures of cookies that were never posted!

Lily of the Valley-one of my most favorite flowers

Gossie and her red boots-from the children's book Gossie.
 (one of Jack's favorites)

Gossie yelling at Gertie after she stole her red boots!!!!

Jack practicing his flooding skills...

Some special Mother's Day cookies for some very special friends!
